Tentlan

Tentlan checked properly

Tentlan trades the usual medieval backdrop for Mesoamerica and then does the harder thing, which is making the setting change the game. Offerings matter, terrain limits you, and the economy runs on what the jungle allows.

The scale is small by design. A few settlements, a short list of production chains and a handful of neighbours whose plans you can actually learn.

Losses hurt without ending you, which is why it works as a first map game in a way the older examples do not.

Where it earns the slot

  • City & resource growth
  • Alliance strategy
  • Long progression rhythm
